Title
Second Order Cascading Effects In Linbo3 Waveguides With Tailored Wavevector Mismatch
Abstract
An approach to obtain arbitrary nonlinear phase shifts by tailoring minimal loss to the harmonic is demonstrated. The approach is verified by measuring the wavevector mismatch along Ti-diffused LiNbO3 waveguides. This extends the utility of cascading to effects such as the phase-induced transitions in soliton collision behavior. Overall, noncollinear second harmonic generation reveals details of the phase-matching temperature profile which allow for tailoring the wavevector mismatch along the waveguide axis to optimize second order cascading effects.
