Title
Three-Photon Resonantly Enhanced Four-Photon Absorption In Single Crystal Polymer Poly[Bis(P-Toluene Sulfonate)] Of 2,4-Hexadiyne-1,6-Diol
Abstract
Poly [bis(p-toluene sulfonate)] of 2,4-hexadiyne-1,6-diol (PTS) is a conjugated polymer which exhibits strong π-electron delocalization that leads to a large nonlinear optical effect. The multi-photon absorption from 1800 to 1900 nm is investigated. Results showed that the strong three photon enhanced four photon absorption (α4 = 0.77±0.15 cm5/GW3). α4 is a minimum at the expected resonant wavelength of 1860 nm and the maximum occurs at shorter wavelengths.
