Title
Synthesis &Amp; Characterization Of New Two-Photon Absorbing Polymers
Abstract
Two-photon absorbing chromophores attached covalently to polymers can be used to overcome the shortcomings of current materials used for photonic and biphotonic applications. Polymers with good film forming properties can then be fabricated in a variety of configurations. Polymers with covalently attached fluorene-based two-photon absorbing chromophores were synthesized especially for this purpose. Polymers of vastly different chemical and physical properties were prepared and characterized for both linear and nonlinear optical properties.
