Frequency Stabilization Of Fast Self-Pulsations In Two-Section Gain-Coupled Dfb Lasers
Abstract
The optical generation of microwave/millimeter wave (MMW) signals with high modulation index is presented using a partial gain-coupled two-section DFB laser. Stabilization of frequency of the self-pulsation signal is investigated. Reduction of signal linewidth from 4 MHz to less than 200 KHz is realized with optical feedback loops.
