Title
Second-harmonic controlled all-optical modulation by cascading
Abstract
In the study, the arrangement where the coherence of the second-order interaction is utilized will be considered. An input second-harmonic wave is introduced, which has a well defined phase with respect to the fundamental, Δphi, at the input. This second-harmonic input is referred to as the 'seed' or control pulse. Under certain conditions, it shows that even a week seed can strongly modulate the transmitted fundamental irradiance.
