Title
Efficient electric vehicle lighting using LEDs
Abstract
A light emitting diode (LED) has been successfully used for the turn signal of an electric vehicle instead of an incandescent light. The various external lights such as turning, parking, stopping and clearance, are now capable of meeting automotive standards using the new super bright LEDs. Similar intensities and distributions of light are possible in other exterior automotive lights. New shapes and styles of light are possible with super-bright LED using specific lens and reflector designs. LEDs provide greater reliability and with their fast response time, greater safety.
