Title
The hydriding-dehydriding characteristics of La2Mg17
Abstract
Lanthanum magnesium, La2Mg17, was investigated to determine its hydrogenation-dehydrogenation behavior. The hydride was formed by two methods, metallurgical and chemical, and the two were compared. It was concluded that the metallurgical process was preferred for this particular alloy. An unexpected result of the study was the determination of a direct correlation between the hydrogenation conditions and the temperature required for the subsequent release of the hydrogen. © 1995.
