Title
Efficient Time Domain Demultiplexing With Separate Signal And Control Wavelengths In An Aigaas Nonlinear Directional Coupler
Abstract
A >95% efficient demultiplexing without pulse break-up is demonstrated in an AIGaAs nonlinear directional coupler (NLDC) using control and signal pulses of different wavelengths and different pulse widths. The coupling length is nearly identical for the signal and control wavelength, allowing high contrast at low density. A Fourier transform beam propagation method was used to simulate the behavior of the NLDC.
