Nd3+-Doped Apatite Crystals For Diode-Pumped 1.06- And 1.33-Μm Lasers
Abstract
The paper presents the comparison of the spectroscopic and lasing properties of several Nd3+ doped apatite crystals together with vanadate and fluoride Nd3+-doped laser crystals. Pulsed and CW laser pumping were used to simulate laser diode pumping. Results showed that for diode pumped lasers near 1.06 and 1.33 μm, these apatite crystal lasers can be good alternative materials.
