Integration of a GaAs/AlGaAs all-optical switch with disordered branching waveguides
Abstract
For some time now, disordering of MQW layers have been investigated and that process shows great promise in the realization of integrated optical devices. MQW's can be selectively disordered in many variety of ways, such as impurity induced disordering, laser induced disordering and vacancy induced disordering. In this paper, an experimental data on the all-optical devices that contained integration of nonlinear MQW sections with linear disordered sections are presented.
