Title
Temperature Dependence Of Second Harmonic Generation In Nyab Crystals
Abstract
The self-frequency doubling crystal NYAB has been investigated for the thermal properties of second harmonic generation of 1.064 μm. The temperature dependence of the phase-matching angle θm for type I frequency doubling has been measured in the range from 23 °C to 133 °C. The phase-matching angle varies with the temperature at a range of dθm dT = (2.60 ± 0.16) × 10-5 rad/°C. This quantity can also be calculated from the ratio of the angular acceptance width to the temparature accepted width. The measurement angular and temperature widths are δθL = 0.64 mrad cm and δTL = 26 °C cm, respectively. The ratio of these two widths is 2.46 × 10-5 rad/°C which agrees with the measured dθm dT value. © 1993.
