Title
Nonlinear Refraction In Uv Transmitting Materials
Abstract
We measure the nonlinear refractive coefficient n2 in BaF2, LiF, MgF2, A12O2 and Diamond using the Z-scan technique at λ=1.06, 0.532 and 0.355 μm. Two-photon absorption in diamond at 0.355 μm is also measured. The results are in good agreeement with a two-parabolic band theory developed for semiconductors.
