Title
Summary Of Assessment In Higher Education And The Management Of Student-Learning Data
Abstract
We describe important issues related to program assessment and accreditation in higher education. The approach taken by one business school is provided to illustrate the assessment process and how it manages the collection of the student-learning data required to assess degree programs. Included are brief descriptions of the development of appropriate student-learning outcomes and assessment measures. Finally, the positive and negative issues associated with program assessment based on student-learning outcomes are described. Copyright of the Academy of Management, all rights reserved.
