Title
Monolithically Integrated Ultrafast All-Optical Demultiplexer Switch
Abstract
A symmetric Mach-Zehnder all-optical switching device that is fabricated using GaAs/AsGaAs multiple quantum well structures and selective area quantum well disordering for the integration is presented. The switching characteristics of the device are obtained using a conventional pump probe measurement set-up. It is shown that the rise-time and fall time of device switching response are both on the order of 2ps which corresponds very closely to the pulse width of the switching pulses. © 2000 IEEE.
