Linear And Nonlinear Effective Medium Properties Of Metallodielectric Composites Of Interacting Spheres And Isolated Spheroids
Abstract
We compute the effective medium properties for Kerr-type metallodielectric composites of interacting spheres and isolated spheroids. We show the nonlinear index enhancement increases significantly faster than the linear absorption as particles interact or become elongated. © 2008 Optical Society of America.
