Abstract
Bulk and supported nickel phosphides were successfully synthesized from solid nickel(II)-triphenylphosphine complex by a simple thermal treatment in hydrogen flow at 618 K, and the resulting silica-supported nickel phosphide catalyst exhibited superior activity for sulfur removal from dibenzothiophene over the catalyst prepared from nickel phosphate by conventional temperature-programmed reduction. © 2009 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
