Silicon Photonic Crystal Fiber
Abstract
A hollow-core photonic crystal fiber (PCF) made of silicon is reported for the first time. The fiber is obtained by converting silica fiber to porous silicon using magnesiothermic reduction. ©2009 Optical Society of America.
