Title
Two-Branch Space And Polarization Diversity Schemes For Dipoles
Abstract
A study on the evaluation of the performance of two-branch space and polarization diversity schemes for linearly polarized signals was performed. The variations of signal-to-interference-noise-ratio (SINR) with incidence angle of interference was investigated for near vertical incidence of the desired signal. It was shown that the two-branch ± 45° slanted polarization scheme performed better than the H/V polarization scheme by combining the polarization deversity with horizontal space diversity. The strength of the signal level for the horizontal space diversity was found to decrease with the inclination to the vertical of the transmitting antenna.
