Title

Laminar Diluted Hydrogen Burke-Schumann Flames – Effects Of Lewis Number And Unsteadiness

Abstract

The effects of Lewis number and flow unsteadiness on NOx emission from laminar diluted H2 diffusion flames were experimentally studied for the Burke-Schumann configuration. The transport properties (i.e., fuel Lewis number, Le) were varied by using various degrees of dilution with He and Ar inert gases. The implications of these results for turbulent nonpremixed flames are discussed.
