Title
Cool &Amp; Dry Dual-Path Approach For A Florida School
Abstract
The demonstration project at Ralph William Jr. Elementary School in east cental Florida improved upon the district's state-of-the-art ystem by using a dual path approach to eliminate the delivery of any unconditioned ventilation air to the space. This field demonstration project confirmed that such a system with low temperature air can maintain lower and more comfortable humidity levels as well as improved air quality in the conditioned spaces, even in humid locations such as Florida. The integration with TES resulted in a system that used about the same amount of energy as a state-of-the-art HVAC system without TES and low-temperature air distribution.
