Title
Tem Examination Of The Effect Of Titanium On The Al/C Interface Structure
Keywords

Abstract
The structure and chemistry of Al/C interfaces formed under the different processing parameters with dense carbon materials are investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The drop size interface consists of numerous fine particles less densely distributed in the region corresponding to the center of the drop. The alloying delays and prevents the formation of undesirable Al4C3 since TiC forms instead of Al4C3.
