All-Optical 2R Regeneration Using Data-Pumped Fibre Parametric Amplification
Abstract
All-optical 2R regeneration with simultaneous wavelength conversion has been realised by a fibre parametric amplifier with the data signal to be regenerated as the pump. Regenerated data has an extinction ratio as high as 14 dB, an extinction ratio enhancement of 5 dB and a 5 dB negative power penalty.
