168 Channel × 6-Gb/S Optical Wdm Transmitter Using A Multiwavelength Modelocked Semiconductor Diode Laser
Abstract
The generation of 168 independent, synchronized RZ pulse trains operating at 6-Gb/s (1.008-Tb/s aggregate) is demonstrated. Results show the potential of multiwavelength modelocked semiconductor diode lasers as an attractive alternative for data transmission on cost-effective WDM local area or access networks.
