Speaker Identification Employing Redundant Vector Quantisers
Abstract
An approach for automatic speaker identification (ASI) employing the multiple transform domain split vector quantiser (MTSVQ) signal compression technique was presented. A waveform based ASI (WASI) algorithm was developed. The algorithm differentiates between the true speaker and the imposters at low bit rates. The results demonstrated that the improvement in the speaker identification accuracy employing the proposed WASI technique.
