Double-Layer Piezoelectric Actuation Of Crack Growth Along Epoxy/Aluminum Interfaces
Abstract
A double-layer PZT actuator was successfully used to study fatigue crack growth behavior along the interfaces between aluminum and epoxy. A thinner adhesive layer with high mode II component showed higher fatigue resistance.
