80 Gbit/S All-Optical Clock Recovery Using Two-Section Gain-Coupled Dfb Laser
Abstract
The 80 Gbit/s all-optical clock recovery using two-section gain-coupled distributed feedback (DBF) laser was presented. The wavelength and polarization intensive operation was realised by wavelength conversion using a semiconductor optical amplifier. Results showed that the recovered clock with a high carrier-to-noise ratio of > 38 dB as well as a low timing jitter of < 5%.
