Title
New Methodology For Evaluating A Toll Plaza'S Level Of Service
Abstract
A new methodology which uses field and simulation data for evaluating a toll plaza's level of service (LOS) was proposed. Two different toll plazas and various configurations for each of the toll plaza were examined. The cumulative delay was found to be most appropriate on examination of selected data groups from two different toll plazas. The 85th percentile of the cummulative individual vehicular delays was concluded to accurately capture the delay experienced by the majority of the drivers.
