Title
Near-Field Excitation Of Surface Plasmons For Optical Interconnects
Keywords
Integrated Optics; Near-field excitation; Optical Interconnects; Surface plasmons
Abstract
Surface plasmon (SP) waveguides are a promising candidate for on-chip optical interconnects. This talk covers the fundamentals of SP propagation, and discusses a new method for coherent SP excitation using 2D arrays of plasmon resonant metal nanoparticles. © 2005 IEEE.
