Title
Large Signal Compensation Network Design For Vrm Transient Response Improvement
Abstract
Most of the compensation network designs in power supplies are based on the small signal model methods, which can not apply to the transient periods because it goes into the saturation region. The large signal response is determined by error amplifier dv/dt and main converter di/dt, a trade off between the stability and transient response. This paper presents one new control circuit to improve large signal transient response. Finally, experimental prototype was carried out in VRM with current injection converter to verify the theoretical analysis. © 2005 IEEE.
