Title
On The Degree Of Polarization Of Random Electromagnetic Fields
Abstract
Random electromagnetic fields can always be decomposed into polarized and unpolarized components. Therefore, one can, at all times, associate with any field a degree of polarization which measures the relative energy density (intensity) in the polarized component. It should not be expected, however, that this degree of polarization can provide a complete description of the electromagnetic field characteristics. © 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
