Abstract
The present paper deals with the Beta approximation operators. We obtain an estimate on the rate of convergence for functions of bounded variation by means of the decomposition technique. Furthermore we derive the complete asymptotic expansion of the sequence ((Lnf)(x))n=1∞ for smooth functions as n tends to infinity. © 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
