Title
The Comprehensive Organizational Plan Revisited: Building In An Ethical Component
Abstract
Today's dialysis practices face many internal and external challenges. From inadequate staffing to increased competition for scarce reimbursements, practice managers find themselves making decisions without being fully informed of the ethical ramifications of these decisions. A five-part comprehensive organizational plan (COP) is presented to assist practice managers as they try to understand and coordinate the key success factors for their medical groups. The five plans in the COP cover the following: competition, facilities, human resources, information management, and finances. Ethical considerations are discussed for each part of the COP.
