Title

Abstract
The characteristic times of shock-tube ignition and oxidation were compared. The onset and peak times were obtained from time histories for four different species such as CH, CH*, OH, and OH*. It was found that the ignition onset times were more consistent than peak times. It was suggested that the ignition onset time should be used for greater consistency.
