Super Wide View In-Plane Switching Lcd With Positive And Negative Uniaxial A-Films Compensation
Abstract
A positive uniaxial A-film and a negative uniaxial A-film compensated IPS LCD is proposed to widen the viewing angle characteristics by reducing the dark-state light leakage at off-axis oblique angles. Simulation results show that a contrast ratio greater than 200: 1 is achieved within ±85° viewing cone. © 2005 SID.
