Title
Project Emd-Mlr: Educational Material Development And Research In Machine Learning For Undergraduate Students
Abstract
An overview of the project EMD-MLR, an NSF funded, proof-of-concept project that introduces undergraduates students to machine learning research was presented. The main focus of the project was to develop educational material in the form of software implementations of state-of-the-art ML algorithms. Project EMD-MLR is a proof-of-concept project focuses on machine learning with objective including the development of the educational materials, the creation of an on-line ML respiratory, and the introduction of ML research in the participating institution's curricula. The Project's objectives are achieved by a team of faculty with strong teaching and research experience in ML, as well as extensive experience on supervising seniors design teams.
