Rz To Csrz Format Conversion Using All-Optical Clock Recovery And Electro-Optical Modulation
Abstract
Return-to-zero (RZ) to carrier-suppressed RZ (CSRZ) format conversion was experimentally demonstrated at 40Gb/s. Retiming and CSRZ pulse regeneration were accomplished ail-optically. The converted CSRZ signal had timing jitter of 0.6ps and extinction ratio of 15dB. © 2003 Optical Society of America.
