The Concept Of Polarization In Near Field Optics
Abstract
We introduce a unique decomposition of random electromagnetic fields. Based on this decomposition, we define a physically meaningful degree of polarization which is of interest for certain problems in near field optics. © 2003 Optical Society of America.
