Title
Importance Of Cathode Kinetics On Membrane Material Selection
Abstract
The operation of proton exchange membrane fuel cells at elevated temperatures near 100°C-120°C and low relative humidity affects several of the membrane properties. Most current research involves the determination of the membrane ionic conductivity, stability, and strength. This study describes the importance of the membrane material properties with respect to the kinetics of the oxygen reduction reaction in the fuel cell cathode.
