Title
Strong Nuclear Contribution To The Optical Kerr Effect In Niobium Oxide Containing Glasses
Abstract
Electronic and nuclear contributions to nonlinear optical properties of niobium oxidebased glasses have been measured using third harmonic generation and pump-probe techniques. Discrepancies with Hellwarth's model have been evidenced for niobium oxide concentrations above 30 mol%, probably due to extra specific collective vibrational modes. © OSA.
