Polarizer-Free Liquid Crystal Displays
Abstract
A reflective polarizer-free liquid crystal display (LCD) using dye-doped LC gels is demonstrated. The main mechanism is to combine dye absorption and polydomain scattering. The potential applications are electronic papers and flexible displays.
