Micro-Cavity Resonator Optimization Using Particle Swarm Optimization

Abstract

Particle swarm optimization is used to design the geometry of micro-cavity optical resonators to obtain high q-factors at desired resonances. The quality factor and resonant frequency of the cavity are evaluated using eigenmode analysis. © 2007 Optical Society of America.
