Abstract
Project management is a complex undertaking involving many stakeholders within and outside the project. Main stakeholders of a project are identified as customers, senior management, functional departments, project team and vendors/consultants. Main hypothesis of this paper is that by improving the issues related to project stakeholders, project managers can improve the project success. This paper aims to develop measures for assessing project stakeholder issues and project performance by employing a survey of project management professionals. Both theoretical and practical contributions of this research are discussed.
