Polarization-Independent Liquid Crystal Phase Modulator With A Large Phase Shift And Low Operating Voltage
Abstract
A polarization-independent liquid crystal phase modulator with a large phase shift and low operating voltage is demonstrated. Two orthogonal liquid crystal layers are separated by two anisotropic polymer films which exhibit excellent molecular alignment capability. © 2006 Optical Society of America.
