Flowsheeting A Solar-Driven Sulfur-Ammonia Water Splitting Cycle With Znso 4-Zno Sub-Cycle
Abstract
FSEC's SA photo/thermochemical cycle with ZnSO4/ZnO subcycle is briefly described. An Aspen flowsheet simulation of the process predicts an LHV efficiency of 51%, which is comparable to the best of the efficiencies reported for cycles currently being investigated. Flowsheet modelling and experimental work will continue to be used to guide SA cycle development and further efficiency improvements.
