Abstract
What do we like about the IS field? This article is based on a panel discussion at the 2009 International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) held in Phoenix, Arizona. The panel was sponsored by the Senior Scholars' Consortium. Given the recent enrolment downturn in IS programs and concerns expressed by some about the strength of the field, this article sets out the views of some senior scholars who describe what they like about the IS field. © 2010 by the authors.
