7.1: Distinguished Student Paper: Low Voltage Blue-Phase Lcds With Patterned Electrodes
Abstract
A low voltage blue-phase LCD with patterned electrodes is proposed. By optimizing the protrusion electrode configurations, we have successfully reduced the on-state voltage to ∼10V while keeping a relatively high transmittance. This approach enables blue-phase LCDs to be driven by a-Si TFTs. © 2010 SID.
