Integrating Technology For Distance Parenting Coordination: Best Practices And Ethical Considerations
Keywords

Abstract
An abundance of research literature exists on challenges faced and emotional responses in parents of children with special needs. However, the end users of this research, which many can argue should be the parents and their families, are all too familiar with these stressors and challenges. This article provides parents and the counselors concrete information on what has worked for those parents of children with special needs that have adjusted well. Four domains are identified (Social Support, Positive Coping Skills, Family and Marital Adjustment, and Effective Parenting), and a Comprehensive Clinical Intervention Model is presented that provides counselors guidance to integrate these domains in a comprehensive treatment approach. © Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
