Optical "Tractor Beams" With Nonconservative Forces
Abstract
We demonstrate that, for an entire class of optical beams, nonconservative forces can point in a direction opposite to propagation wavevector. The properties of these forces are examined in the Rayleigh and geometrical optics limits. © 2010 Optical Society of America.
