Q-Switched Operation Of A Novel Ultra-Large Mode Area Tm+3 Doped Photonic Crystal Fiber
Abstract
Q-switched laser operation using a thulium doped polarizing photonic crystal fiber is shown for the first time producing 6.5 kW peak-power pulses with diffraction-limited beam quality, high polarization purity, and >1000 μm2 mode field area. © 2012 OSA.
