Abstract
The goal of the Augmented Immersive Team Training (AITT) program is to provide squad level Infantry training within a portable augmented reality training system. The Enhanced Instructor System (EIS) component of the AITT is being developed to provide metrics-informed pedagogy support for instructors to optimize training of Joint Tactical Air Controllers (JTACs). This paper presents the conceptual framework being developed for the EIS, which will utilize a Zone of Proximal Development approach to optimize instruction by diagnosing observed performance and prescribing future instruction along a continuum of training objectives and task complexity.
